Our History
In 1999 Roseda Beef started as an offshoot of our purebred Angus
cattle operation. As the number of Roseda bulls being tested grew,
we decided to sell our beef to "freezer beef" customers rather than
sell them on the rail.
Our first year (1999) we sold 56 head under our Roseda Beef private
label then doubled our production in 2000. Since then we have
expanded our markets and now serve several family owned
supermarkets and restaurants throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Projected sales for 2007 are 1,500 head, however; we have access to
an additional 1,500 head through the commercial cattlemen working
in our program.
Roseda Beef plans to remain a small, family-operated business. Our
growth will be dictated by our ability to control the quality of our product
and serve our customers’ needs. Roseda Beef will be a demand
driven rather than supply driven product and is targeted to serve those
who will pay a premium for a beef product that offers a consistently
delicious eating experience.
